First Selectwoman's Office

 The First Selectwoman serves as the town's Chief Elected Official.  The term of office is two years commencing in odd number years.  The First Selectwoman presides over the Board of Selectmen.

Annmarie Drugonis is the current First Selectwoman of Seymour sworn in on October 23rd, 2020. 

Basic responsibilities of the First Selectwoman include:

  • assessment of current and future needs or priorities of the town
  • supervising all administrative offices and employees of the town
  • constantly updating the Board of Selectmen as to the status of the town's finances
