Ambulance  (203) 888-8843
The Seymour Ambulance Association is the provider of all ambulance and emergency services for the town.  Founded in 1969, the association is one of the premier volunteer ambulance services in the U.S. having been chosen in 2000 as the National EMS Service of the Year by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians.  It is the mission of the Seymour Ambulance to provide and maintain an emergency medical services system which will protect, educate, and serve the residents of the town of Seymour as well as surrounding communities in a consistent and professional manner without profit and subject to all laws and regulations.

To this end, the association's 100 volunteer members work to achieve the highest levels of standards in the emergency medical services profession as MRTs, EMTs, EMT-Is and paramedics.

The association is the lead organization of the William King, Sr., Health and Safety Institute, providing health and safety training programs across southern Connecticut.  In addition, the association boasts the only EMS-based injury prevention programs in the U.S. in its Safe Communities Program of the lower Naugatuck Valley and its Valley-Amity Safe Kids Coalition.  These programs provide injury
prevention programs such as car seat clinics, bicycle rodeos, Safe-Sitter baby-sitting programs and a variety of injury prevention initiatives locally and regionally.
