Housing Rehabilitation Citizens' Engine Co. Reroofing - Invitation to Bid
Sealed bids are invited by the Town of Seymour until 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the office of the First Selectman at 1 First Street, Seymour, CT 06483 for  REROOFING of Citizens Engine Co. No. 2. The work, to be awarded in a single contract, includes: replacement of an asphalt shingle roof and associated flashings, fabrication and installation of new metal trim and application of a masonry sealer.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the Project Site, 26 Deforest Street, Seymour at 10:00 am, on Thursday, February 8, 2018.
Copies of the Project Documents can be obtained at The Color Company 85 Willow Street New Haven, CT (203)-624-0440 upon payment of the non-refundable document fee. Copies of the Project Documents may be examined in the Selectman’s Office One First Street Seymour, CT during normal business hours or on-line at under the Bids and Proposals tab.
The Town of Seymour reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to reduce the scope of the project to reflect available funding, and to waive any informalities in the bidding, if such actions are in the best interest of the Town.

Town Projects

Greenway Trail Phase I

Seymour is in the process of developing the first phase of our greenway trail.  This trail will stretch from the Paul Pawlak Jr. Bypass Channel & Park to the Route 8 onramp at the end of the Route 67 Bridge.  The project is scheduled to begin construction in the spring of 2017.  Below are some images of the approved project plan.

Route 67 Spot Improvements

The State of Connecticut DOT is pursuing a spot improvement project in the Route 67 corridor designed to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion.  The project is currently in the prelimary design phase and there is no projected start date as the project is unfunded.  Below are some graphics showing the proposed changes the corridor as well as copies of presentations from public informational meetings held on the project.
