The Paul Pawlak Sr. Bypass Channel and Park is Seymour's newest park.  It consists of a hillside park adjacent to the Naugatuck River and a CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection-operated fish bypass channel.  It was a $6.3 million project designed to eliminate one of the last obstructions to migratory fish on the Naugatuck River.  Visitors can see fish migrating to their spawning points upstream between approximately April and June, although the volume will be low for the first few years after the park's opening in 2014.  The park also boasts an electronic vehicle charging station
