About the Commission

The Commission on Aging is a 5-member appointed board dedicated to addressing the needs of Seymour’s elderly population, focusing on:

• Housing, welfare, health, and recreation needs
• Oversight of the Senior Center
• Preparing the annual budget with the Community Services Director
• Setting policies and objectives for senior services
• Managing Senior Center dues and shuttle bus regulations
• Promoting community participation for older residents
