A 5-member appointed board responsible for making continuing studies of the needs of Seymour’s elderly in relation to housing, welfare, health, recreation and other matters. They are responsible for oversight of the Town’s Senior Center as well as preparation of an annual budget in conjunction with the Senior Citizens’ Director. They are the policymaking authority and are responsible for establishing defined objectives for the Senior Citizens’ Director. They maintain a record of annual dues for the Senior Citizens’ Center, set regulations regarding usage of the shuttle bus for senior citizens, and are responsible for promoting participation of older residents in Town in Senior Center activities.
