🌎 Open Space & Wetlands Commission

Purpose:
A 5-member appointed board that maintains an index of all open areas in the Town — public and private — including marshlands, swamps, and other wetlands. The commission collects information on the proper use of these areas and may make recommendations to the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Selectmen regarding:

• Proper use and development of these areas
• Acquisition of land
• Granting of easements
