The Seymour Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is comprised of volunteers who have been trained in emergency management basics, basic life safety and emergency preparedness skills. Seymour CERT serves the Town of Seymour under Emergency Management by providing support to all Town agencies. When activated Seymour CERT specializes in services such as; emergency sheltering, emergency center operations and assisting with traffic control. Seymour CERT also strives to educate the citizens of the Town of Seymour in disaster and emergency preparedness in order to help them better prepare in the event of a disaster until trained emergency responders can arrive to assist.
